Community Theatre

In the summer of 1987 I caught a wave of spiritual flowering centred around the little town of Glastonbury, in Somerset, took a little bedsit in the nearby town of Street for a while to spend half my time there, and eventually in April 1988 left London altogether to become a permanent resident in the Isle of Avalon.

Here I quickly became involved in the community arts scene, first as a performer, then as a producer, eventually running the local community arts centre itself.

My performances included work with:

Ariadne Productions – community mystery plays

Glastonbury Town Players – local pantomime

Gothic Relief Theatre Co. – local activities

Sean Bridges – a local boy made good

Millennium night – what was I up to?
