Knowledge Transfer Partnership with SigmaUK Ltd
In early 2014 David began a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with SigmaUK Ltd, part funded by ESRC and Innovate UK, and part by the company themselves. David acts as the Academic Supervisor. Working with Dr Marie Griffiths and Dr Maria Kutar from the Centre for Digital Business at Salford, and with Chris Bush, Head of UX at Sigma, and with the Managing Director, Hilary Stephenson and Commercial Director, Shaun Gomm, the Partnership appointed, in July 2014, Jessica Blaynee, as the KTP Associate tasked with project managing and achieving the following research:
“To develop a framework of research techniques, processes and tools that enable Sigma to better define and respond to client needs, and to deliver UX projects more robustly, quickly and efficiently. This is expected to lead to the definition of new, innovative services that reflect the increasingly diverse and sophisticated demands of the market.”
Much has already come from this project, including the following talks:
- The Time of Our Lives: Understanding Irreversible Complex User Experiences
- KTP and RRI: The Perfect Match
More work is on the way, and there will be a report on the whole project published in the Summer of 2016
