Technical help
Users who have seen earlier versions of this site are advised to clear their cached internet files when exploring this new site for the first time. In Firefox, this can be done via Tools->Options->Privacy and press Clear next to the Cache. In Internet Explorer, this can be done via the Tools -> Internet Options -> Delete files function.

Web standards
This site complies with W3C Web Standards for XHTML1 and CSS2, and properly segregates structure and presentation between them. It has been fully tested on IBM Home Page Reader 3.0 which makes full use of the accessible tags included in the code. It has been tested on Netscape 7, Opera 7, Firefox 1.0.6, and on Internet Explorer 6. All the XHTML and CSS files pass validation by the W3C. A skip to content link has been included on every page.
Browser versions

PDF files
Adobe Acrobat Portable Document Format (PDF) files are usually electronic versions of printed documents that can be sent via email, downloaded from websites and printed on most printers. To view PDF files, Acrobat Reader software needs to be installed on your computer. This application is small, easy to install and available free from the Adobe website.

Music and Video files
Digital music and video files on the MLGC website will come in a variety of formats. To listen to music or to view movie files from the website, one of various software programmes will be needed. It will say clearly which one you need, next to the file.
Most of these will need to be installed on your computer. The plug-ins are available free from the appropriate website.
Some music and video files are available in Quicktime, some in RealPlayer, some in Windows Media Player format. Each programme has a website with more details on downloading the plug-in and listening to and viewing files.
