<\/p>\nI have put a good deal of energy into renovating this old Victorian
\n2up2down. 1876 it was built, as I understand it, and the horsehair in
\nsome of the plaster I had to replace seems to date from such a time.

\ncity, (after having my car vandalised a few months ago and being burgled
\nat the beginning of August) I have decided to move back up into the
\nhills where I lived between 2000 and 2003 and wrote my PhD. There, in a
\nyear or two, when my life has slowed down sufficiently, I will be able
\nto write a book. I have already stopped going to choir. There are many
\nother involvements from which I will now gradually pull back, to lead a
\nquieter, slower life, with room for views, for thinking, and for
\nwriting.\n<\/p>\n
