The complexity of social systems: Could hegemony emerge from the micropolitics of the individual?

As well as an introductory chapter, outlining the background to a reassessment of the two great writers, and describing the contribution of each chapter in the book, David also included his own chapter, in the book Gramsci and Foucault: A Reassessment, which he published in 2015, entitled, ‘The complexity of social systems:  Could hegemony emerge from the micropolitics of the individual?’

Abstract: This chapter is about the possibility of viewing a potential combination of the ideas of Gramsci and Foucault through the lens of the complexity turn in sociological thought.
