Chair IFIP TC9 on ICT and Society

From 1^st January 2018 David Kreps became Chair of the International Federation for Information Processing’s Technical Committee 9 on ICT and Society, leading nearly 600 academics and practitioners from over 60 countries across ten different working groups on research and exploration of the many issues concerning the relationship between information communication technologies and society.  As TC9 Chair David sits as a member of the Technical Assembly of IFIP, comprising all the Technical Committee Chairs, and thus also of the General Assembly of IFIP, comprising the Presidents of National Computing Societies as well as the Technical Committee Chairs, honorary members, and other officers of IFIP.  The General Assembly meets once annually.  IFIP is a UNESCO affiliated NGO.
